Intensified but well programmed work was carried out on the footway of the Goodwood Underpass rain bridge was completed over two nights.
The concrete slabs and therefore the concrete cancer has been removed. Everyone who passes under this bridge can now be assured that concrete is not likely to drop on them or their car as they traverse that area. Thank you to our project team for their diligent approach to eliminating this threat to public safety.
This photo is showing the concrete cancer in full view. The rusting reinforcing which forced the concrete between it and the slab edge is in full view.
This picture (sorry about the colour it is nighttime and I am not a professional photographer) is showing the contractors lifting one of the slabs.
