North-South Corridor Reference Design public scrutiny is invited, without much notice from the Department. At least to the first stage.
The community can comment on the reference design, with open forums available now. Albeit with short notice. These information sessions provide a North-South Corridor Reference Design public scrutiny opportunity you should not miss.
Other sessions closet to access from Back Forest residents remain available as follows. If you have nothing else planned, I encourage you to attend.
- Tuesday 7 December, 5-8 pm, at the Glandore Community Centre.
- Saturday 11 December, 10 am-1 pm at the West Adelaide Football Club.
If you can’t however, don’t panic.
Further sessions will become available in February next year. There will be more focused sessions available to you in the new year, commencing in February. These sessions will be for locals. The residents, businesses, and community groups around the section of the corridor between Anzac Highway and Cross Road. Keep your eye open for announcements of their time and venue.
You can also access the Department’s Project website here.
The Community Reference Group will continue to meet too. This means I will be able to relay my experiences going forward. It allows you to convey concerns too, to members of the group, including myself.
To have any chance of influencing the design, however, you need to take advantage of attending and contributing to any of these sessions. Please don’t dismiss this opportunity to have influence. The Community Reference group has had an impact on the reference design.
I am confident that further feedback will be heard and considered. My next blog post will provide some thoughts and guidance on this.
The feedback on the reference design will enable the final design later in the year.
